Located just outside Hay on Wye on the Clifford Road (B4350), a few hundred yards beyond the Co-op supermarket, and one hundred yards beyond the Glan Wye Business Park, we have been specializing in children's books and literature since 1978 and are one of the oldest continuously operating bookshops in Hay on Wye.

We hold a large and varied stock of over 20,000 books, covering all aspects of children's literature.

Our catalogue can be searched on-line, allowing you to browse the many thousands of books which we have in stock and place orders, and we offer a world-wide postal service.

Due to the actions of Barclays Bank, is it likely that the Children's Bookshop may close permanantly shortly after this year's Hay Festival. We are of course desperate to avoid this happening and would appreciate any assistance. Further details can be found here.
